Thanks for sharing the article on Biglari Holdings. I love that you were skeptical, remain skeptical, yet were still willing to think through the other side of the argument at the same time and give it a chance. We all could use more of that these days

I think that a case can be made that Biglari’s pay is not particularly egregious compared to pay at many public companies. The trouble that many investors have is that Biglari set the bar very high when he decided to emulate Buffett’s style of communications and business philosophy. Since there is an annual meeting with a lengthy Q&A, one possibility for investors interested in the business but with reservations about Biglari is to see him in action in person for the price of admission of one share.
