Due to the fact that I’m very concentrated in Berkshire I use this strategy as a way of reallocating from Berkshire. Reinvest my self made dividend into other opportunities and as it turns out I have more dollar value in Berkshire than when I started.

I agree with you that many investors just cannot wrap their head around having less shares. Much as I hate to admit it, I was in that camp at one time. The chart you presented showing Buffett's charitable contributions spell it out perfectly. Again, thanks for the column.
